Overview
Azerbaijan, the nation and former Soviet republic, is bounded by the Caspian Sea and Caucasus Mountains, which span Asia and Europe. Its capital, Baku, is famed for its medieval walled Inner City. Within the Inner City lies the Palace of the Shirvanshahs, a royal retreat dating to the 15th century, and the centuries-old stone Maiden Tower, which dominates the city skyline.

- Surcharges as and when applicable will be advised and passengers would be requested to pay the same
- Surcharges could be over and above the total package price quoted to the passengers at the time of booking.
- Guests are requested to check with sales staff before booking their on-wards/connecting flights.

We reserve the right to use an alternate hotel accommodation of an equal or higher standard. If we source a more expensive alternative, we reserve the right to re-quote based on the higher rates.

- TCIL is not responsible for any change in the price due to factors not in the control of the
- As a practice all international hotels charge a security deposit via credit card or cash, at the time of check- in for each room. The amount will vary according to the hotel and is refunded back to the clients upon check-out. Debit cards should not be offered as it will be charged immediately and refunded only after 2-3 weeks. If any additional services or mini bar or any other service is utilized at the hotel, the hotel reserves the right to charge the same on this security deposit provided by the client. TCIL would not be responsible for these transactions and these are solely between the hotels and the clients.
Tour Plan
Day 1 Arrive at Baku – Panoramic Night Tour (PVT Basis)
Welcome to Azerbaijan – also known as “The Land of Fire”. Upon arrival at the airport, pick up from airport and transfer to your hotel. Check in at hotel (standard time approx. 1400 hrs.)
Rest of the day at Leisure. Proceed to evening city view tour with car
Visit to Highland Park-Alley of Martyrs, The National Assembly- also transliterated as Milli Majlis, Flame towers- the tallest skyscraper in Baku.
Later you will visit Baku Crystal Hall – an indoor arena in Baku, Azerbaijan. Located on the coast of Baku near National Flag Square, construction of the arena began in August 2011 and finished in April 2012 – in time for it to host its first major event, the 2012 edition of the Eurovision Song Contest
Walking through Baku Boulevard which stretches along a south-facing bay on the Caspian Sea. It traditionally starts at Freedom Square and continuing west to the Old City and beyond. Since 2012, the Yeni Bulvar (New Boulevard) has virtually doubled the length to 3.75 km

Day 2 Baku – Gobustan Tour (PVT basis)
Enjoy Breakfast in Hotel.
Gobustan is best known for being the home to the famous rock petroglyphs. The area has been settled since the 8th millennium BC. It is known for hosting thousands of rock engravings spread over 100 square km depicting hunting scenes, people, ships, constellations and animals. Its oldest petroglyphs date from the 12th century BC. In 2007, UNESCO included the ‘Gobustan Rock Art Cultural Landscape’ in the World Heritage list. Return to the hotel after the tour.

Day 3 Baku – Gabala (PVT Basis)

Excursion in: Tufandaq” Winter-Summer Tourism Complex offers cable car rides at any time of the year, skiing on the ski tracks of different difficulty level, ski training and ski school, catering service (cafe and restaurants), entertainment centres for kids, hotel and other services.
Nohur Lake -It is located in Qabala, another region of Azerbaijan that one passes when travelling to Sheki. Lake is not on the way but if you go a bit deeper towards the mountains this beautiful view opens up in front of you
Yeddi Gozel (Seven beauties) waterfalls in Gabala, one of the most popular tourist destinations in Gabala, are located 6 kilometres from Vandam village and 3 km from the main track over Puskan. Here, water from various ravines forms a seven-step waterfall. Only two small waterfalls are visible below. To look at the other five waterfalls, you have to climb up the stairs, which requires some physical strength. However, those who are going through this difficult path await a mysterious panorama. There is also a restaurant and a tea house. The waterfall is always dark and cool because it is located in a dense forest that is not affected by the sun’s rays.

Day 4 Gabala – Sheki Tour – Gabala (PVT Basis)

Visit The Palace of Sheki Khan’s Palace in which was a summer residence of Shaki Khans. It was constructed in 1761-1762 as a summer residence of Hussein-khan Mushtad (grandson of Gadzhi Chelebi). The basic material for the Palace construction was raw bricks, river stones, plane trees and oaks. The most amazing is that not a single nail or glue drop was used for the construction! Everything is in place due to a special solution the formula of which was lost forever.
Later visit Caravanserais. Swift development of trade in the middle Ages enhanced importance of caravanserai existing in the territory of Azerbaijan at that time and favored construction of new ones. Generally, caravanserai were built in form of castles with one gate, closing of which made them impregnable during dangerous incidents.

Day 5 Gabala – Baku City Tour (PVT Basis)

Proceed to Old City or Inner City is the historical core of Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan. The Old City is the most ancient part of Baku, which is surrounded by walls were well protected. In 2007, the Old City had a population of about 3000 people. In December 2000, the Old City of Baku, including the Palace of the Shirvanshahs and Maiden Tower, became the first location in Azerbaijan to be classified as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
After Old City guests will experience the happening street of Nizami Street known for shopping. The street’s history could be traced back to Baku’s town-planning project of 1864. The street runs through the city’s downtown from west to east. It begins from Abdulla Shaig Street, in mountainous part of the city and ends at railroad bed on Sabit Orujov Street, near a monument to Shah Ismail Khatai in “Black City”. Total length of the street is 3,538 m.
Fountains Square is a public square in downtown Baku, capital of Azerbaijan. The square was previously called Parapet and is often referenced to by the same name now. The name of the fountains square derives from the presence of dozens of fountains throughout the square first constructed during Soviet rule of Azerbaijan. The square is a public gathering place, especially after business hours and during the weekend.
Visit to the charming example of modern architecture – The Heydar Aliyev Centre – a 57,500 m2 building complex in Baku, Azerbaijan designed by Iraqi-British architect Zaha Hadid and noted for its distinctive architecture and flowing, curved style that eschews sharp angles. The centre is named after Heydar Aliyev, the first secretary of Soviet Azerbaijan from 1969 to 1982, and president of Azerbaijan Republic from October 1993 to October 2003. (Photoshoot outside).
