Overview
Bentota is a resort town on Sri Lanka’s southwest coast. Its long Bentota Beach stretches north, where it becomes a sandy strip known as Paradise Island, parallel to Bentota Lagoon. Coral-rich dive sites include Canoe Rock. On Bentota River, centuries-old Galapota Temple has a large Buddha statue. Southeast is Lunuganga, the estate and gardens of architect Geoffrey Bawa. Northeast is his brother Bevis’s Brief Garden.
Colombo is the executive and judicial capital and largest city of Sri Lanka by population. The Colombo metropolitan area is estimated to have a population of 5.6 million, and 752,993 within the municipal limits. It is the financial centre of the island and a tourist destination.
Nuwara Eliya is a city in the tea country hills of central Sri Lanka. The naturally landscaped Hakgala Botanical Gardens displays roses and tree ferns, and shelters monkeys and blue magpies. Nearby Seetha Amman Temple, a colorful Hindu shrine, is decorated with religious figures. Densely forested Galway’s Land National Park is a sanctuary for endemic and migratory bird species, including bulbuls and flycatchers.
Kandy is a large city in central Sri Lanka. It’s set on a plateau surrounded by mountains, which are home to tea plantations and biodiverse rainforest. The city’s heart is scenic Kandy Lake (Bogambara Lake), which is popular for strolling. Kandy is famed for sacred Buddhist sites, including the Temple of the Tooth (Sri Dalada Maligawa) shrine, celebrated with the grand Esala Perahera annual procession.
Sigiriya or Sinhagiri is an ancient rock fortress located in the northern Matale District near the town of Dambulla in the Central Province, Sri Lanka. It is a site of historical and archaeological significance that is dominated by a massive column of granite approximately 180 m high.

Sri Lanka ETA and VISA
- Sri Lanka ETA (Electronic Travel Authorization) Must Be obtained from the website eta.gov.lk.It is a mandatory official authorization online.
- ETA holders will be issued a 30 day Short Visit visa at the port of entry in Sri Lanka.
- ETA is mandatory. Once applied , it can be tracked online .
- Confirmation will be notified, Print out of which would need to be carried by traveller.
- On arrival it will be stamped on the passport.
- All ETA holders should be able to prove: Travel Documents (A round trip ticket to show at the port of entry in Sri Lanka (only if you are traveling by air) and Evidence of sufficient funds to cover your expenses in Sri Lanka.

Day 1 Arrival at the Bandaranaike International airport
Arrival at the Bandaranaike International airport and transfer to Sigiriya . En route, optional visit to Pinnawala elephant orphanage. Check in at hotel.
Evening proceed on a sightseeing tour of Dambulla, including an optional visit to Dambulla cave temple. Dinner and overnight stay at a hotel in Sigiriya

Day 2 Early morning visit to Sigiriya Rock Fortress
Early morning visit to Sigiriya Rock Fortress for a breathtaking sunrise. Climb the ancient rock fortress and explore the historic site with its stunning views.
Check out from the hotel and begin your journey to Kandy-the hill capital. The last stronghold of the Sinhala Kings was finally ceded to the British in 1815. Kandy is an example of the Buddhism’s influence in Sri Lanka today.
Temple’s shrines and monasteries keeping alive Buddhist traditions are everywhere.
Enroute, visit a spice garden in Mawanella to learn about the diverse spices and herbs used in Sri Lankan cuisine, and a herbal garden to discover the traditional Ayurvedic healing practice.
Upon reaching Kandy, do a sightseeing tour, including a visit to the Sacred Temple of the Tooth Relic, a UNESCO World Heritage site and an essential pilgrimage site for Buddhists. Late in the evening, enjoy a traditional Kandyan dance performance.
