Overview
Kandy is a large city in central Sri Lanka. It’s set on a plateau surrounded by mountains, which are home to tea plantations and biodiverse rainforest. The city’s heart is scenic Kandy Lake (Bogambara Lake), which is popular for strolling. Kandy is famed for sacred Buddhist sites, including the Temple of the Tooth (Sri Dalada Maligawa) shrine, celebrated with the grand Esala Perahera annual procession.Â
Nuwara Eliya is a city in the tea country hills of central Sri Lanka. The naturally landscaped Hakgala Botanical Gardens displays roses and tree ferns, and shelters monkeys and blue magpies. Nearby Seetha Amman Temple, a colorful Hindu shrine, is decorated with religious figures. Densely forested Galway’s Land National Park is a sanctuary for endemic and migratory bird species, including bulbuls and flycatchers.
Colombo is the executive and judicial capital and largest city of Sri Lanka by population. The Colombo metropolitan area is estimated to have a population of 5.6 million, and 752,993 within the municipal limits. It is the financial centre of the island and a tourist destination.

Sri Lanka ETA and VISA
- Sri Lanka ETA (Electronic Travel Authorization) Must Be obtained from the website eta.gov.lk.It is a mandatory official authorization online.
- ETA holders will be issued a 30 day Short Visit visa at the port of entry in Sri Lanka.
- ETA is mandatory. Once applied , it can be tracked online .
- Confirmation will be notified, Print out of which would need to be carried by traveller.
- On arrival it will be stamped on the passport.
- All ETA holders should be able to prove: Travel Documents (A round trip ticket to show at the port of entry in Sri Lanka (only if you are traveling by air) and Evidence of sufficient funds to cover your expenses in Sri Lanka.
Tour Plan
Day 1 Arrival at the Bandaranaike International airport and transfer to Kandy.
Arrival at the Bandaranaike International airport and transfer to Kandy. En route, optional visit to Pinnawala elephant orphanage. Check in at hotel.
Evening proceed on a sightseeing tour of Kandy, including an optional visit to Temple of Tooth relic and gem museum.
Late evening witness a traditional dance show

Day 2 After breakfast, drive to Nuwara Eliya.
After breakfast, drive to Nuwara Eliya. Enroute, visit to a tea factory and a tea plantation. Check in at hotel.
Evening, proceed on a sightseeing tour of Nuwara Eliya, including a visit to Lake Gregory, Sita Amman Temple and Hakgala botanical garden.
Dinner and overnight stay at a hotel in Nuwara Eliya.

Evening, you can explore Colombo’s vibrant shopping districts, including Pettah and Odel, shopping malls. Optionally, explore Colombo’s modern side with visits to contemporary art galleries or trendy cafes.
