- Tour price is subject to change as per the occupancy on the tour. Early birds get the best deal
- The itinerary is subject to change on the ground keeping the arrival time / on ground feasibility. Few of the sightseeing is closed during the week which we shall try to cover the next day.
- Many regions do not have star category hotels. Generally there isn’t any star categorization in this sector, however the same is demarcated as per prices and put into slabs of 2*/ 3*/ 4* or STD/ DLX/ PRM or equivalent.
- Packages are based on base category rooms, irrespective of the Hotel category opted.
- Room up-gradation payable at the hotel directly
- Please be reminded that all special requests like early check-in, smoking, non-smoking, views, floors, king, twin, adjoining and/or interconnecting rooms are strictly subject to availability upon arrival and cannot be guaranteed prior. Any expenses arising out of this is to be borne by the customer.
- Most hotels do not have lift facility and the guest may have to climb stairs. In case of guests having problems with blood pressure, breathing, knee and heart or if they cannot climb the higher floors, we request you to update this at the time of booking so that we may take appropriate action and try for rooms in the Ground floor. This is again subject to availability and DIFFERENCE IF ANY WILL HAVE TO BE SETTLED DIRECTLY BEFORE CHECK OUT.
- In hilly areas, scarcity of water and electricity is a natural phenomenon. To overcome the water crisis certain hotels have a fixed schedule for supplying hot and cold water. We strongly regret the inconvenience and look forward to your cooperation.
- In hills, most of the hotels are located in a way where the view might be of a building in the front, beside or behind it
- There will not be any refund in case any of the sightseeing is missed / uncovered during the
- Most of the Hotels in this region do not have Tea/coffee maker/ mini-fridge/ enhanced toiletry kit (with moisturizer, toothpaste, brush, shaving kit, lufa, bathroom sleepers, bath-robe), etc.
- For meal plans, the menu will be on a fixed plan/ buffet basis and not on A-la-Carte basis. MAP and AP Meal plans do not include Evening snacks and cold drinks/liquor, Soups or Deserts. For order on A-la-Carte basis, guests are requested to make a direct payment for additional items.
- Monument will remain closed on Government holiday as well as on Sundays
- All Indian nationals visiting Bhutan does not require a visa to enter Bhutan. However, they MUST produce any of the following documents.
- Valid Indian Passport (Validity Should be more than 06 Months at the end of the Tour)
- Election/Voter ID card
- Children below the age of 17 years without the above-mentioned travel documents, the following are required:

- NOTE: All documents must be original and photocopy of it will not be considered a valid document during travel.
- Package and rates offered are not valid OCI, NRIs and PIO Passport Holders and Foreigner nationals. The entry permit is required to enter Bhutan via Phuentsholing. Route permits can be obtained at Phuentsholing Immigration upon producing your passport/voter ID copy along 06 Passport Size Photographs.
- During Government holiday and weekends Phuentsholing Immigration office remains closed for an entry permit, so please plane your holiday accordingly.
- For issuing the tickets we need the scan copy of above-mentioned documents. Please send us the scan copies at the time of booking only.
- Costs are valid for Indian nationals possessing valid Indian passport or voter’s ID.
- Transportation as per itinerary only (not available at disposal).
- Passengers with children need to carry Birth Certificate along with School ID card (ID proof should be valid for 6 months from the travel Date)
- To travel to Punakha you need to obtain permits by submitting clear scanned copies of the voter ID card and Passport for adults and birth certificate for kids at the time of booking. And you also need to carry the original of these documents while traveling to Bhutan
- The New Indian currency of INR 200 and 500 denominations is now valid at Bhutan for Domestic

- The extra mattress on the floor provided where a proper extra bed isn’t
- Please consult the driver / local representative for the next day’s sightseeing schedule / Transfers
- Due to unforeseen situations (force majeure/ traffic jams/traffic halts/ diversions/ Bandh/ curfew, Union strike, VVIP movement, etc.), vehicle reporting may get delayed. We will request you to bear with us and as soon as the vehicle arrives you will have to get in ASAP.
Permits – There are 2 types of permits:.
- Entry Permit: When you are entering Bhutan, you have to get the Entry Permit which can be procured at the entry point either in Paro airport (when traveling by flight) or in Phuentsholing Bhutan (when traveling overland either from Bagdogra or NJP). Entry permit cannot be made in advance as physical appearance is required at the immigration office. An entry permit is also a valid document to visit Thimphu and Paro.
- Special Permit: If you choose your Itinerary to visit places (Haa, Punakha, Wangdue, Bumthang, etc) beyond Paro and Thimphu, you need to have a Special Permit. We need the copy of either your passport or Voter ID card along with the copy of entry permit to make your Special Permit. A special permit will ONLY be made in Thimphu on the working days between 09.00 – 16.00 hrs.
Entering Bhutan By Surface:
Indian nationals do not require any visa for Bhutan. A permit will be issued at the entry point on production of a passport (with a minimum validity of 6 months from the date of departure) or Voter ID (only valid document for issuing the Bhutan Entry permit). The traveler also has to carry a photocopy of the travel documents and 04 passport size photographs. For Children, Original Birth certificate in English and student ID is required. If you are entering Bhutan via land, it is to be noted that the permits are issued only during working days and hours. (Monday to Friday between 9 am to 4 pm during winters and 5 pm during summers). It is suggested that the travelers arrive a day prior in Phuentsholing so that they can get the permits done. However, during the high season depending upon the rush immigration may take a long time to issue the permit. We shall not be responsible for any delay during processing of permit by the immigration authority. Please keep your client informed they may have to stand on long queue during high season to obtain the permit if traveling via Phuentsholing. No permits are issued on Saturday, Sunday and Bhutan government holidays.
Being responsible and a better guest in someone else’s land:
Few Dos and Don’ts to be the “Great Guests” that we expect from others visiting our homes. While some of the pointers require Self-awareness, some actually are strictly prohibited.
- Take a Little Consent before taking pictures of people and their materials
- Respect things local including Drivers and Guides
- A little bargaining is expected but not too much haggling
- Bother to learn/understand the local language – it helps a lot. This helps differentiate ‘rude’ from ‘local tone’ and also helps your bargaining J
- Maintain Cleanliness. Pls. use dustbins or take back the days litter to your hotel’s bin.
- Do not Drink in Public Places
- Take Proper permits are required to take video or film
- Drone Photography is not permitted;
- Do not dirty and damage vehicles, hotels; property
- Do not misbehave or man-handle locals and staff;
- Avoid Plastic, Go Green. Let’s aim to keep the country clean.
- Do not carry Alcohol on board which moving from one destination to another
- Most leisure holiday destinations are relaxed remote places. They may look less on professionalism but are high on humility. Let us be respectful of locals and the ‘culture’ that is the prime highlight of that place.

All arrangements made by TCIL are in the capacity of an agent only. Tour Plan
Day 1 Arrival Phuentsholing on arrival at Bagdogra Airport, (500Ft / 150Mts)
You will be met by our local representative who will assist you to board your vehicle to Phuentsholing (165 Kms / 05 Hrs). On arrival in Phuentsholing, met by our representative, after clearing immigration formalities, check in at the Hotel. Later in the evening explore the local market. Overnight at the hotel in Phuentsholing
Note- Tourists coming down from other cities on their own have to reach Bagdogra latest by 11:30hrs and Vehicle leaves from Airport Parking point at 12:30 hrs

Day 2 Phuentsholing to Thimphu (6 hrs):
After the breakfast, proceeding to Thimphu. The drive to Thimphu is very scenic, once we climb up from the Indian plain to Bhutan foot hills through beautiful forest, towns and road side villages. Our drive will pass through Gedu, Chukha, and Chuzom before emerging ourselves in to the only multi culture city in Bhutan. Check into the hotel, evening we will explore the city by walk. Overnight in Thimphu, 2300m

Day 3 Thimphu Sightseeing
In the morning we will visit Handmade paper mill, School of Arts and crafts (closed on Sundays, government holidays) where students learn 13 different arts used predominantly in Bhutan. We will also visit nearby folk heritage museum and National Library before lunch.
After lunch, drive pass by Memorial Chorten built in memory of the 3rd King.
Visit Buddha view point, Changangkha Lhakhang, the oldest temple in the valley, Enclosure where national animal, Takin are kept and Zilukha Nunnery.
Overnight in Thimphu

Day 4 Thimphu to Punakha (75Kms 3hrs):
After breakfast, proceed toward Punakha (Total 3hours driving time). En-route, halt at Dochu La-A mountain pass leading further into the Punakha Valley. It offers a stunning 360 degree panoramic view of Eastern Himalayan mountain ranges. The view is especially scenic on clear, winter day with snow capped mountains forming a majestic backdrop to the tranquility of the 108 chortens gracing the mountain pass.
Enjoy lunch at newly open restaurant Druk Wangyel Café and visit Punakha Dzong and Chimi Lakhang on your way to Punakha.
Overnight stay in Punakha.

Day 5 Punakha to Paro (130Kms 4hrs):
After breakfast, check out of your hotel and proceed to Paro. The Paro valley extends from the confluence of the Paro Chhu and the Wang Chhu rivers at Chuzom upto Mt. Jomolhari at the Tibetan border to the North. This picturesque region is one of the widest valleys in the kingdom and is covered in fertile rice fields and has a beautiful, crystalline river meandering down the valley. After checking into your hotel, you would proceed for a sightseeing tour of Paro which would include Drukgyel Dzong-Ruins of an old fortress in Paro, Kyichu Lakhang- Famous Monastery in Paro andTa-Dzong -National Musuem of Bhutan.

Day 6 Paro Sightseeing:
In the morning, we will hike to Tiger’s Nest Temple, the most revered temple in the country that literally hangs on a granite cliff overlooking the Paro valley at 900m above the valley floor. The temple is associated with Guru Rimpoche who visited in 8th century and believed to have meditated three months in this cave and converted entire valley into Buddhism. It is 2 hours walk up hill for an average hiker; however it can take our almost entire day too. Evening back to the hotel and relax. Overnight in Paro

Day 7 Paro – Phuentsholing (180 Kms/ 06 Hrs)
After our breakfast we will retrace our scenic drive back to Phuentsholing. Relax in the hotel and get prepared for your departure the next day.

Day 8 Phuentsholing Drop: (160 Kms/ 05Hrs)
After early breakfast check out from the hotel and proceed for Bagdogra Airport to board there turn flight, Our representative will help you with exit formalities and then bid you farewell.
Note: Being a group tour package, the departures will be operated on meeting the minimum operating strength of 10 passengers. Otherwise, passengers will be given an option of shifting to another
operating departure or continue on the same departure by paying the private vehicle supplement as applicable.
