Overview
Udaipur, formerly the capital of the Mewar Kingdom, is a city in the western Indian state of Rajasthan. Founded by Maharana Udai Singh II in 1559, it’s set around a series of artificial lakes and is known for its lavish royal residences. City Palace, overlooking Lake Pichola, is a monumental complex of 11 palaces, courtyards and gardens, famed for its intricate peacock mosaics.

Hotels
- Many regions do not have star category hotels. Generally there isn’t any star categorization in this sector, however the same is demarcated as per prices and put into slabs of 2*/3*/4* or STD / DLX / PRM or equivalent.
- Packages are based on base category rooms, irrespective of the Hotel category opted.

- Please be reminded that all special requests like early check-in, smoking, non-smoking, views, floors, king, twin, adjoining and / or interconnecting rooms are strictly subject to availability upon arrival and cannot be guaranteed prior. Any expenses arising out of this is to be borne by the customer.
- Only 01 extra bed / mattress is allowed per room. This extra bed means a Mattress / Roll over Extra mattress on floor provided where proper extra bed isn’t available.
- In case of guests cannot climb the higher floors, we request you to update this at the time of booking so that we may take appropriate action and try for rooms in the Ground floor. This is again subject to availability and difference if any will have to be settled directly before check out.
- In hilly areas, scarcity of water and electricity may happen. To overcome the water crisis certain hotels have fixed schedule for supplying hot and cold water. We strongly regret the inconvenience and look forward for your
- In hills, hotels may be located in a way where the view might be of a building in the front, beside or behind it
- There will not be any refund in cased any of the sightseeing is missed/uncovered during the trip.
- The Hotels may/may not have some of following amenities as per its policy. Tea /coffee maker/ mini fridge/ enhanced toiletry kit (with moisturizer, tooth paste, brush, shaving kit, lufa, bathroom sleepers, bath-robe) etc.
- For meal plans, menu will be on fixed plan / buffet basis and not on A-la-Carte basis. MAP and AP Meal plans do not include Evening snacks and cold drinks / liquor, Soups or Deserts. For order on A-la-Carte basis, guests are requested to make direct payment for additional items.
Transportation
- Usual vehicle used are Air Conditioned Sedan (Indigo / Etios / Dzire etc) for 2-3 pax; SUV (Innova / Xylo / Ertiga etc) for 4-5 Pax or Tempo Traveller for 6-8 pax

- A/c in Vehicle will be switched off during hilly drive.
- Please consult driver / local representative for next day’s sightseeing schedule / Transfers timings.
- Due to unforeseen situations (force majeure/traffic jams/traffic halts/diversions/ Bandh /curfew, Union strike, VVIP movement, etc.) the program may get delayed / shuffled. We will request you to bear with us and as soon as vehicle arrives you will have to get in ASAP.
- Monument will remain closed on Public holidays and Sundays.
Incidental Charges Due to UN for seen Situations
- All arrangements made by TCIL are in the capacity of an agent only. TCIL will not be liable for claims or expenses arising from circumstances beyond our control such as accidents, injuries, delayed or cancelled flights and acts of Force majeure / traffic jams/traffic halts/diversions/bandh/curfew, Union strike, VVIP movement, etc.- We will request you to bear with us the situations beyond our control. We will arrange for alternate sightseeing. In case of discontinued itinerary due to these reasons no refund on the hotel booking will be provided and alternate accommodations (as per availability) are managed in the place where you have to stay back. While it is our endeavor to manage the alternate arrangements during such scenarios, please note the difference may be charged for the same.

- Weather in Rajasthan: Rajasthan’s seasons vary significantly, falling under the categories of summer, monsoon, post monsoon and eventually winter. With each season comes the promise of something new. Like all deserts, Rajasthan is sweltering in the summers. The temperatures can go up to a scorching 48 degrees. As such, the best time to visit Rajasthan is during October to March. This period will experience a significant drop in temperature followed by the icy winds of the winter. Mostly pleasant, sometimes it may disrupt the itinerary.

Being Responsible and a Better Guest in Someone else’s Land
While some of the pointers require Self- awareness, some actually are strictly prohibited
- Take a Little Consent before taking pictures of people and their materials;
- Respect things local including Drivers, Guides, and Staff. Pls. Do not misbehave or manhandle.
- Do Not Be loud during any part of the journey. If anything not up to the mark, please inform the helpline number and check with local representative
- A little bargaining is expected but not too much haggling;
- Bother to learn / understand the local language-it helps a lot. This helps differentiate ‘rude’ from’ local tone’ and also helps your bargaining J
- Maintain Cleanliness. Pls. use dustbins or take back the days litter to your hotel’s bin
- Do not drink or Smoke in Public Places;
- Do check with crew / representatives before taking away things from Flight, Hotels and Cabs. Usually, Toiletries (soap/shampoo/moisturises/comb/dental kit/ loofah/slipper) are free takeaways in Hotels if they are placed in small pouches for one person consumption.

Day 1 Arrival at Udaipur:
Arrive Udaipur and transfer to your hotel. Set on the shores of Lake Pichola and surrounded by hills, Udaipur grew in complete contrast to the harsh deserts of the rest of Rajasthan. As capital of the old Mewar State it was the only Rajput stronghold to uphold its Hindu allegiance in the face of Muslim invasion. This fairy- tale city, with its marble palaces and lakes surrounded by a ring of hills, was founded by Maharana Udai Singh in 1559. The city is dominated by massive City Palace, which overlooks Lake Pichola with its romantic island palaces. Picturesque havelis, ghats and temples line the lake front, with the lively bazaars of the old walled city stretching behind them.
A Walk in The Old City To understand the intricacies of culture, heritage and architecture of Udaipur, one must take a walk on the famous Palace Road which displays handmade fine art paintings, mojdis, handmade leather goods, beautiful pieces of silver and stone jewellery, Also see the 17th century Jagdish temple, drive around the Fatehsagar Lake, Afternoon is free to walk around in the colorful and bustling bazaars for personal exploration or shopping.

Day 2 Udaipur
After breakfast proceed for Full day city tour of Udaipur-visiting the City Palace and Museum. The largest palace complex in India, it is a blend of Mughal and Rajput influences. -The most impressive attraction in Udaipur is the magnificent City Palace which is now a museum and houses fine art works in glass mosaics, and miniature paintings, of which Udaipur is famous, depicting glories of an ancient past.
The City Palace Built by the Maharana Udai in 1559, The City Palace is located on the east bank of Lake Pichola. Fused with Rajasthani and Mughal architectural styles, the Palace is considered the largest of its type in Rajasthan. The Palace has various towers, domes and arches which add to the flavour of the heritage site. It is a marvelous assortment of courtyards, pavilions, terraces, corridors, rooms and hanging gardens. Often distinguished as the largest palace complex in Rajasthan, this majestic piece of architecture is one of the most visited tourist attraction. Crystal Gallery -Situated at the Fateh Prakash Palace, the Crystal Gallery houses an extravagant collection of crystals. It is an unused collection that includes crystal chairs, sofas, tables and even beds. Other precious items include crystal dressing tables, chairs, crockery, table fountains and even the regal beds. In 1877, Maharaja Sajjan Singh ordered this rare crystal from Fandamp; C Osler andamp; Co in England but died before the package arrived.
JAGDISH TEMPLE –The Jagdish Temple is a great focal point for the Hindu people of Udaipur. The temple is dedicated to Vishnu; The Jagdish Mandir is an excellent example of Indo-Aryan architecture. One of the popular tourist attractions on the map of Rajasthan, the Jagdish Temple is a large Hindu temple located in the heart of Udaipur. It enshrines a black stone image of Lord Vishnu, considered as ‘The Creator’ in Hindu mythology.
Sahelion Ki Bari –Sahelion Ki Bari, also known as ‘Courtyard of the Maidens’ is a popular tourist attraction in Udaipur, Rajasthan. Set below the embankment of the Fatah Sagar Lake, the gardens is decorated with beautiful lotus pools, elephant-shaped fountains, paintings, glass mosaics and marble pavilions. Legend says, the king himself designed this garden and presented it to the queen. Shilpagram -Shilpagram in Udaipur can be literally translated as the ‘Craftsmen Village’. It depicts the lifestyle of the folk and tribal people of the West Zone.
Udaipur Vintage collection of classic cars the collection comprises a variety of classic and interestingly rare and well-maintained vehicles. The Maharaja personally visits the museum weekly to ensure that the cars are in mint condition. Double up on the ticket with the Rajasthani Thali offered inside, and it will make for a memorable experience for both car and food enthusiasts.

Day 3 Udaipur
Full day Excursion to Haldighati, Ekling Ji and Nagda Morning: enjoy your breakfast at the hotel. Later proceed for sightseeing tour of Ekling Temple, Haldighati and Nagda Temples. Eklingji-Built in the 8th century, Eklingji in Udaipur is a Hindu temple complex consisting of about 108 temples. The structures of these temples have been carved in granite, sand stone and marble. Eklingji (22KM) Timing hrs 0415-0645, 1030-1330, 17 15-1945 Eklingji is a temple complex of 108 small temples of 8th century. The main temple of Shiva has four headed sculptures in black stone Nagda (23 km) Timing 0800-1800 hrs Nagda was first capital of Mewar kingdom and now left with ruins of temple known as Saas- bahu temple dated 10 th century.
Haldighati-Situated towards the southwest of Nathdwara, the historical site of Haldighati witnessed the great battle fought between Maharana Pratap and the Mughal army in 1576 AD. The name is believed to have been derived from the turmeric-colored yellow soil (Turmeric is haldi in Hindi).
Haldighati is located 45 kms from Udaipur. You Will visit the Maharana Pratap Smarak andamp; Museum, Chetak Horse Samadhi, and Rakta Talai.
Later in the evening take a boat ride on the 4 km long and 3 km wide Lake Pichola, which is fringed with hills, palaces, havelis, ghats, embankments and temples and offers spectacular Lake Pichola, the largest artificial freshwater lake in Udaipur, was built in the year of 1362 AD. Around 30 feet deep, this beautiful lake boasts of four main islands – Jag Niwas, Jag Mandir, Mohan Mandir and Arsi Vilas. Jag Niwas is home to the beautiful Lake Palace, a well-known heritage hotel. Jag Mandir features the famous Lake Garden Palace. Mohan Mandir used to be where the King would witness the Gangaur celebrations while Arsi Vilas was built by the Maharanas to enjoy the beautiful views of the sunset. The best way to catch scintillating views of the lake is to take a boat ride, especially around sunset, and enjoy the tranquility.

Day 4 Udaipur – Chittorgarh – Udaipur
After breakfast drive to full day excursion to Chittorgarh; Chittorgarh, said to have been originally built by Bhim, one of the Pandavas. Though deserted now, impressive reminders of its grandeur still stand. See Rana Kumbha’s palace and Fateh Prakash palace. Visit the 37 m high Jaya Stambh (Tower of Victory) built by Rana Kumbha to commemorate his victory over Khiljis of Malwa in 1440.Also see the 22 m high Keerti Stambh or Tower of Fame dedicated to Adinath and decorated with figures of various Jain tirthankars.
The entrance of the Chittorgarh is highly attractive with seven huge entries, namely Bhairon Pol, Lakshman Pol, Padan Pol, Hanuman Pol, Jorla Pol, Ganesh Pol and the main royal gate known as Ram Pol. Major attractions in Chittorgarh include the amazing Chittorgarh fort, Keerti Stambh, Victory tower or Vijay Stambh, Rani Padmini’s Palace, Rana Kumbha’s Palace and many beautiful imposing temples of great past.
